SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks Alex Pledger and Hayden Allen both feature in the NBL's League Leaders after the completition of the 2017 NBL Regular Season on Sunday.
The ageless Hayden Allen continued to show his class, finishing as the League's most reliable free throw shooter, with an 88.2% hit-rate from the line. He also finished with the third best 3-point percentage of 41.5%, behind only Shea Ili and Leon Henry of the Wellington Saints.
Pledger, who has faced time on the sidelines with persistent headaches this season, finished the season strongly against the Hawks on Sunday, recording 17 rebounds, to finish in the top three rebounders in the League averaging 9.9 rebounds per game. The man they call Chief was also one of the League's top shot-blockers, averaging 1.6 blocks per game, behind only Amir Williams of the Taranaki Mountainairs.
