The Mike Pero Nelson Giants have not messed around in replacing American import Joe Slocum.
After the American point guard returned just 15 points on 5-22 shooting over the Giants opening three losses in this year's NBL, the team cut Slocum loose earlier in the week and yesterday announced his place on the roster would be filled by 23-year old Melbourne United Point Guard Kyle Adnam.
Adnam should provide significantly more production, after scoring a team-high 19 points off the bench for Melbourne against the NZ Breakers in the ANBL in November.
He was expected to train with the team last night and will be rushed into the line-up to face the Sharks tomorrow night.
