Pledge comes up big for Breakers

SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks big man Alex Pledger has played another big part in another two-win week for the SKYCITY Breakers.

After shutting down Perth Wildcats centre Angus Brandt on Thursday in Auckland, Chief did the same last night in the Breakers hugely impressive road win in Perth, scoring 15 points with 8 rebounds, 2 assists, a block and a steal.

The Breakers now move clear at the top of the NBL table with eight straight wins, three wins ahead of Perth and Melbourne.

Next up for the Breakers, Reuben Te Rangi and his Brisbane Bullets on Sunday at Spark Arena.

Meanwhile, how good did the Bullets look in their Queensland maroon yesterday? Reubs (pictured with Bullets assistant and former Breaker legend CJ Bruton), played a key role in the final minutes to close out a vital win over Cairns.

One to watch Sharks Fans, tip is 3pm Sunday.
