Sharks Fans, as we wind up the year we are officially starting the countdown clock on the 2020 Sal’s NZ NBL season (119 days away just so you know).
I’m sure you are as excited as we are with our first signings for 2020 with Jarrad Weeks, Dom Kelman-Poto, Hyrum Harris and Tom Vodanovich all confirmed to return next year. This is no small feat as it’s fair to say all had multiple offers, so to have all of them re-commit is a great endorsement in our programme and the contribution you make to help create an environment to bring the best out in our boys!
We are in conversations with the rest of our Kiwi core from this past season and trials for our upcoming Sharks Summer League for our locals have commenced over the last few weeks.
Coach Bevo has also had a number of players from both sides of the Tasman reach out to discuss playing options as word of his appointment spread across the basketball world down under, so we are very happy with how things are shaping up.

Monday 16 December – 2020 VIP & Season passes go on sale
Friday 31 January – Last day for returning Season pass-holders to confirm seats
Thursday 9 April – 2020 Sal’s NZNBL Opening Night
Friday 10 April – Sharks’ first 2020 game at the Franklin Bulls
Friday 24 April – Shark’s Home Opener at ILT Stadium Southland v Manawatu Jets
Our exclusive Sharks’ VIP and Season Passes will go on sale from this Monday (December 16) at ILT Stadium Southland. We are again offering the chance to get up close and personal with Bevo and our 2020 Team through our Sharks VIP, along with our usual Season Passes.
We’ve added even greater exclusive access for our VIPs and dropped the cost of our student and children passes to make it even better value to bring the family to the Shark Tank.
The other exciting news this season is that the Final 4 home court will be determined by regular season record, so the team that finishes first and second will host the Final 4 semi-finals with the highest seeded winner hosting the Grand Final on Friday 24 July.

2019 Season ticket holders have until 31 January to confirm the same seat location for 2020. Non-renewed membership seats will be released from this date.
2019 Season ticket holders who don't intend to renew for 2020 are asked to contact the Sharks office to advise so these seats can be released immediately.
Students are defined as SIT or students 12 years of age or older.
Child tickets are defined as 11 years or younger.
Entry is free for children under the age of three.
Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the front of the Tim Shadbolt Stand.
