Bevo is Back

The Southland Sharks are delighted to today confirm the return the return of head Coach Rob Beveridge as he continues his recovery from his shocking fall at his Sydney home four weeks ago.

Beveridge who plunged six metres off his second-story roof while home for a scheduled visit to Australia, broke six ribs and his shoulder blade, sidelining him from his coaching duties while awaiting clearance to return to Invercargill.

The man affectionately known as Bevo, has been passed fit and will return to the Shark Tank this week and will travel with the team to Nelson for Saturday night's must-win clash with the Nelson Giants.

Beveridge said the support he has received over recent weeks has played a huge part in the start of his recovery and made him even more determined to get back to the Sharks as quickly as he was able.

"The love & support from our Sharks family and the Southland community has helped me so much and there's only one place I want to be right now. Time to get back and to finish what we've started," Beveridge said.
