Assistant Coach Leyton Haddleton will guide the Southland Sharks for both games on this week’s Sal’s New Zealand National Basketball League road double-header in the absence of Head Coach Rob Beveridge who remains unavailable.
For the first time the Sharks will have close to its full squad to select from with captain Alonzo Burton returning to the fray following Covid isolation requirements which ruled him out of last week’s game against the Nelson Giants. Only Connor Coll is unavailable for selection due to a leg injury.
Tonight’s game against Hawke’s Bay tips off just after 7:30 at Pettigrew Green Arena in Taradale, with the Sharks then facing the Wellington Saints on Saturday at 7:30pm with both games live on Sky Sport and Saturday’s clash the week’s feature game, free-to-air on Prime TV.
