Bolger's four decades of service recognised

At the recent Basketball New Zealand annual awards, our own Jill Bolger received the Sir Lance Cross Award for Exceptional Services to Basketball after more than 40 years of dedication to the game in Southland and across Aotearoa

A long-time leader within Southland Basketball, Bolger played a key role in establishing the Southland Sharks in 2010 and has remained instrumental in the franchise’s success ever since.

Her lasting impact on basketball administration, development and community pathways has helped shape generations of players, coaches and officials throughout New Zealand. So well deserved Jill!
