Result: Franklin Bulls (86) are defeated by SBS Southland Sharks (94)
Against the Nuggets, the Sharks struggled to find offence outside of Sam Timmins’ 30 point double double and Rylan jones chipping in 20. The first quarter would instil hope inside Southland fans as points were generating outside of Timmins and Jones.
For the home side, they found their guy. Jace Carter kept his form from his earlier 35 point game against the Tuatara. He begun this battle with 8 points and 9 rebounds in 8 minutes of play. Heading into the half, the Bulls carried a 3 point lead.
The third quarter was taken over by the Sharks would built a 7 point lead off 31 points in the third with every player chipping in. Especially Sam Timmins. The Southland centre has made an early case for MVP as he would propel his team to win with 26 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 blocks. One rebound shy of a very rare 20, 20, 10 game. Despite being short-handed, the Sharks would come up with the win in Pukekohe.

Result: Franklin Bulls (48) defeat Southland Sharks (45)
The first home Rapid League game for the Bulls would be a high scoring affair. The Oilhub.com Franklin Bulls would take an early 13-8 lead exiting the first quarter. They draw their lead out further in the second. The teams would trade buckets, with Arahi Marsh having an incredible game with 19 points to go along with 4 rebounds. Payton Hughes shot the 3 ball well, sinking 4 of 7 and giving the Bulls the push they needed. The Sharks would put up a convincing fourth quarter with Quake Webster coming up with some crucial buckets but the Bulls would take the win. Mac Stoddart showed out, adding in an impressive 19 points in 14 mins despite the loss.
