Tall Black Swims South as Darling Signs
The Southland Sharks are excited to announce the signing of Max Darling ahead of the 2026 NZNBL season, adding a versatile and experienced forward as the club continues to build its roster for the year ahead. Darling is currently a member of the New Zealand Breakers and brings a strong NZNBL résumé to Invercargill, having spent the past five seasons with the Canterbury Rams, where he was an instrumental part of two championship-winning teams.
